Unlimited Study
Flashcards with spaced repetition.
Learn with spaced repetition without surrendering your cards or your history to an account. Unlimited Study keeps each deck in a readable text file and every answer in an append-only log beside it, then rebuilds the schedule directly from those files.
Begin with dozens of included decks and thousands of cards across Math, Science, Geography, Language, History, and Reference, or write a deck of your own in any text editor.
Ready to study on day one
- A useful library, included — multiplication, chemistry, capitals, languages, history, reference tables, and more, from elementary material through university subjects.
- Cards can show what words cannot — use images, image occlusion, hints, explanatory notes, and typeset mathematics.
- Recall, not recognition — type answers when a card asks for one, or make every card typed from Settings.
- Find the right set — search the collection, filter by tag, study one section, cram learned cards, or drill cards that keep slipping.
A schedule that responds to you
- See every choice — Again, Hard, Good, and Easy show the interval they will produce before you answer.
- Choose the target — set the recall rate you want, and the complete history is replayed into a new schedule without losing data.
- Prepare for a date — add an exam and no interval will pass it, so every card returns at least once beforehand.
- Fit it to your memory — once there is enough history, tune the scheduler to how you forget instead of relying only on a population average.
- Know what is happening — forecasts, review history, true retention, and streaks explain the workload without turning it into a game.
Your cards are ordinary files
- Readable by design — a
.deckfile contains the cards; a.reviewsfile records every answer. There is no hidden scheduling database. - Organize with folders — moving a deck into Math or Language is enough to move it in the app.
- Move them your way — AirDrop the folder, put it in iCloud Drive, back it up, diff it, or open it in a spreadsheet.
- Merge without conflicts — review logs only grow, so histories from two devices combine instead of competing over a mutable record.
- No lock-in — the format is plain UTF-8, taught by the included Welcome deck, and previewed before an imported file joins your collection.
