Getting help
Email support@thevun.com with the name of the app and what happened. If you can, include:
- Which app, and whether you are on a Mac, an iPhone, or an iPad.
- The version of the app, from its About or Settings screen.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
- The file, if an app would not open one. A file that fails to open is the single most useful thing you can send us, and we would rather have it than a description of it.
We answer in English. Please write in whatever language you are comfortable with and we will manage.
Reporting a bug
Tell us what you were doing when it went wrong. A bug we can reproduce is a bug we can fix, so the steps matter more than the diagnosis. If an app crashed, the crash report iOS or macOS offers to share is genuinely useful; send it along.
If a calculation, a measurement, a conversion, or a rendered file looks wrong to you, say so. We would rather hear that a number is off and find out we were right than never hear it.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by us. On Apple platforms, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account you bought with. On Android, request one from your Google Play order history. We cannot issue a refund ourselves, but tell us why and we will try to fix the reason.
One purchase, every device
Where an app ships for both, a single purchase covers the Mac app and the iPhone and iPad app. If you bought one and the other is asking you to pay again, sign in with the same Apple Account and use Restore or Redownload. If it still asks, write to us.
None of our apps have subscriptions, in-app purchases, advertising, analytics, or tracking. If an app appears to be asking you for money a second time, that is a bug, and we want to know.
Your data
Our apps keep your work on your device. That means we cannot see your files, recover them for you, or restore something you deleted, so please keep your own backups. It also means we have nothing to hand over about you to anyone else.
Where an app makes a network request at all, its product page and our Privacy Policy say exactly which request and when.
Feature requests
Send them. Small, specific requests from people who actually use an app are where most of our best features have come from. We cannot promise to build any particular thing, and we will tell you plainly if we are not going to.
